Our 9th Annual Meeting will update attendees on the continuing development in Downtown Wilmington, as well as focus on WRC’s core strategic project Wilmington’s Creative District (CD), a vibrant city center, focused on innovative production and consumption, where creative entrepreneurs – artists, musicians, designers and tech innovators – and neighborhood residents thrive and where locally designed goods and original works are made and consumed. Last year the event sold out with more than 250 attendees. This is an outstanding networking and marketing opportunity, as well as chance to support the individuals and organizations that are making Wilmington a better place to live, work, play and learn.

Margaret Winslow, Associate Curator for Contemporary Art,
Delaware Art Museum


This Creative Chat featured speaker will be Margaret Winslow, the Delaware Art Museum’s Associate Curator for Contemporary Art, who will present an overview of the history that informed the exhibition Dream Streets: Art in Wilmington 1970–1990. The presentation will be followed by a moderated conversation between Michael Kalmbach, Executive Director, Creative Vision Factory and artist Rick Rothrock about the motivations behind the founding of the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts and the New Wilmington Art Association.
